Here we are in Chi-town

We arrived in Chicago Midway Airport at 1:35pm yesterday. The flight on Q400 Bombardier plane was comfortable but a bit noisy, considering I'm used to flying on AC. The great thing about flying with Porter is that you receive complimentary drinks (which included alcoholic drinks, you get the whole can of pop) and a meal. Now a days with Air Canada and Westjet, you don't get any meals. Our hotel is just across from John Hancock building and we overlook the "crazy" parking ramp, as Aidan would describe it.

We bought the Go Chicago card (5 day card), which is a great deal (even better deal if I had waited until June 30), if you're planning to go on a lot of sightseeing. The card included at least 20 attractions; free access to Grayline trolley and cruises and discounts.

On Day 1, we went up the John Hancock Observatory building. This is a perfect segway to the visit because you also get a headset which gives a tour of the city and little trivia about the city. We walked along Magnificent Mile and checked out the stores along this route.

By the time we got back to the hotel, we were sooooo tired, everyone went to sleep early - it must have been can't be right, I never sleep before midnight unless I'm putting Aidan to sleep and I crash on the glider.
