Summer Holidays

I always look forward to taking a couple weeks off in August just before Aidan goes back to school. We went up north for some R&R last week, it's all about the beaches, fishing, swimming, reading and some quiet time. First stop was Bayfield, then Kincardine. Enroute to Kincardine, we had to pass Goderich. Although, at that time, route 21 was closed, we had to find a way around downtown Goderich, we did see some of the damages caused by the Tornado that devastated the town.

We stopped off at Sauble Beach for some more sun and swim. It was a little breezy but Aidan seemed to have fun taking on the waves.

Final stop was Blue Mountain where we spent 3 nights. We checked out the Village; Thornbury and Collingwood. Some more fishing where Aidan caught a fish at the pond.

Park at Kincardine
Meditating at the Blue Mountain Beach
Building forts and fortresses at the beach
Trying out the Luge (1st time for me; 2nd round for Aidan)

It was a fine week to be away for downtime.
